Client Manager
Summary of Position
The Client Manager focuses on the customer service aspect of the insurance sales cycle, managing and nurturing customer relationships and leading all client communications. This role encompasses all aspects of client accounts, including responding to inquiries, explaining coverage and premiums, informing clients about policy or billing changes, and facilitating the claims process between clients and adjusters. Additionally, Client Managers play a key role in training new service staff on insurance fundamentals and the nuances of the accounts they manage.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Meet deadlines and demonstrate great attention to detail, while communicating in a positive and professional manner.
- Manage renewals and new business, including specialty applications, quoting, and gathering necessary information from clients and/or carriers.
- Prepare proposals for renewal and new business presentations.
- Collaborate with Producers to bind coverage with carriers, process billing, and address escalated client concerns.
- Ensure endorsements and certificates of insurance are accurately issued using CSR24 software.
- Assist in training new Client Service staff.
- File claims with carriers, keeping clients updated on status, and reviewing subsequent loss runs to explain how claims impact renewals.
- Review audit endorsements and worksheets for accuracy and file disputes when necessary.
- Analyze client policies to identify coverage gaps and proactively provide solutions.
- Secure existing business and drive sales of additional services and lines of coverage.
- Build relationships with underwriters and market new business.
- Maintain documentation in Epic, following outlined procedures and standard operating protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in EPIC, CSR24, and Indio workflow standards, along with documentation maintenance.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask while paying attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of insurance market trends, submission processes, and policy coverage levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense client interactions and provide timely solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of client management experience working on large commercial accounts.
- Property and Casualty licensed.
Education and Licensing
- Current Property and Casualty License required.
- CISR, CIC, CRM, ARM, AAI, and CPCU designations preferred.
